Lissa Prudencio, Founder of Wealth for Women of Color, is a volunteer for Savvy Ladies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free financial education to all women. Savvy Ladies offers a free Financial Helpline to get your money questions answered 1-on-1 with a financial professional.
The Plutus Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit community foundation whose mission is to enable and support content creators to empower humans with financial competence and confidence. Wealth for Women of Color is a Spring 2024 Plutus Foundation grant recipient. The Hello, Money! Bootcamp, in partnership with The Plutus Foundation, is coming soon.
Following a visit to African Village Support in rural Uganda, Lissa developed a connection with the community-based organization and wishes to support their efforts via fundraising. African Village Support provides educational sponsorships, support for expecting mothers, and additional community programs to promote financial independence and an increased quality of life. More details on the next fundraiser will be released soon.
We believe that there is strength in numbers. In order to get more women of color to build wealth, there needs to be more voices and businesses serving them. Our Directory lists financial professionals whose values align with our mission to provide personal finance resources to underrepresented groups, and who value diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
